Accepting These Terms

By subscribing to StoryDrop, you agree to these terms. We've written them in plain English. If something is unclear, email us at hello@trystorydrop.com and we'll explain it.

What StoryDrop Is

StoryDrop is a subscription service that delivers one personalized bedtime story chapter per night to the email address you provide. Stories are generated based on the child information you submit at signup (name, age, and interests).

Each adventure arc runs 28 to 30 chapters. When one arc ends, a new adventure begins automatically. Your child's information carries over into the new arc.

Your Subscription

StoryDrop subscriptions are billed at $8.95 per month, charged to the payment method you provide at checkout.

• Billing is monthly, on the same date each month from when you subscribed.
• Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
• You will receive a receipt by email after each charge.
• Prices may change in the future. We will give you at least 30 days notice before any price increase takes effect.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. No fees. No hoops. No guilt trip.

To cancel, email hello@trystorydrop.com with "Cancel" in the subject line. We will confirm your cancellation by email within one business day.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to receive story chapters until that date. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months, except under the satisfaction guarantee below.

Satisfaction Guarantee

This guarantee applies to first-time subscribers only and covers your first month's payment.

Delivery

We aim to deliver each story chapter by 7 PM in the subscriber's local time zone. Delivery times may occasionally vary. We are not responsible for delays caused by email providers, spam filters, or factors outside our control.

If you miss a chapter or experience a delivery issue, email us and we will resend it.

Content

Story content is created for children ages 3 to 12 and is designed to be age-appropriate, imaginative, and fun. Content is reviewed to avoid violence, adult themes, and inappropriate material.

Stories are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute story content without our written permission.

We reserve the right to adjust story content, themes, or formats as part of improving the service.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your email address current. If your email changes, let us know so your stories keep arriving.

You may update your child's name, age, or interests at any time by emailing us. Updates take effect from the next chapter.

One subscription covers stories for one child. If you have multiple children and would like stories for each, you'll need a separate subscription for each child.

Intellectual Property

All story content generated by StoryDrop is owned by StoryDrop. Your child's name and the personalization we add do not transfer ownership of the underlying story to you.

The StoryDrop name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.

Limitations of Liability

StoryDrop provides the service "as is." We are a small team, and while we work hard to maintain reliability, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the month the issue occurred.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
